Spray-On Resin

The right solution for long-term outdoor concrete.

What Is Spray-On Resin

Spray-on resin is a flexible, resin-based coating system designed specifically for outdoor concrete surfaces. It is applied over existing concrete to create a seamless, textured finish that improves appearance, safety, and long-term performance without removing or replacing the slab.

Unlike rigid coatings, spray-on resin is formulated to handle outdoor conditions such as heat, moisture, and concrete movement. When installed correctly, it provides a durable, slip-resistant surface that remains serviceable and repairable over time, making it one of the most practical finishes for external concrete areas.

Best suited + colour options

Spray-on resin is best suited for external areas where safety, flexibility, and longevity are critical. It is commonly installed on driveways, pathways, pool surrounds, patios, alfresco areas, and other outdoor spaces exposed to weather and regular foot traffic.

The system can be finished in a range of textures and colours to suit the environment. Finish selection is discussed during the consult to ensure the surface meets slip-rating requirements, drainage needs, and visual expectations, rather than focusing purely on appearance.

The correct prep

Correct preparation is essential for spray-on resin systems to perform long term. The existing concrete must be structurally sound, clean, and properly prepared so the resin system can bond correctly and flex as designed.

We thoroughly pressure clean and prepare the surface to remove contaminants, loose material, and any coatings that could affect adhesion. Any surface issues are addressed before installation begins, ensuring the spray-on resin system is applied to a stable and suitable base.

Why Proper Installation Matters

Outdoor concrete moves, and that movement is where many surface finishes fail. Epoxy coatings are sometimes sold for external use, but they are rigid by nature, difficult to repair once damaged, and typically limited in slip resistance for wet areas. When epoxy fails outdoors, repairs are often noticeable and short-lived.

Traditional spray-crete or cement-based resurfacing systems are also rigid, which means they are prone to cracking as the slab expands and contracts. In most outdoor environments, these systems typically last 5–10 years before cracking or resurfacing is required.

We install flexible spray-on resin systems, designed to move with the concrete rather than fight it. This flexibility dramatically reduces cracking, allows for higher slip-resistance finishes, and makes future repairs far more manageable. When installed correctly, this type of system can deliver 25–30 years of service life, making it one of the most reliable long-term solutions for outdoor concrete.

Our Warranties & Guarantees

All spray-on resin projects completed by us come with a 7-year workmanship warranty, giving you confidence that the system has been installed correctly and to a professional standard.

We use commercial-grade ShieldCoat resin systems, sourced locally, and selected specifically for Australian outdoor conditions. Before work begins, we clearly explain the process, finish expectations, and maintenance requirements so everything is understood from the start.
